 NLC To Hold Protests All Over Nigeria On Long ASUU Strike



The National Labor Union (NLC) said the 26th and 27th will be the days they will hold demonstrations across Nigeria, to force the Federal Government, make the University Teachers' Union discuss their problems, and call off the strike.


ASUU has closed all Nigerian Universities on February 14, 2022, as a result of the failure of the Government to fulfill the agreement they have set for many years.


ASUU, and other Unions need to ensure that sufficient funds are given to the Universities to run them, and the issue of approval of the Salary payment system by UTAS, including the increase in Salary.


It will be remembered that the NLC has given the Federal Government 21 days to settle all the matters before them. But now these days are over to deal with it.

Following the end of the mandate, NLC in a statement issued by its President Ayuba Wabba, said that they will hold protests against growth, which will take place across 36 states and Abuja.


The statement said, "Based on what the Executive Council of the Organization issued at the NEC meeting of the Organization, held on the 30th of June 2022, we have decided to return our children to school with the support of Universities and Government Schools to get good knowledge.
